Jon Bard, 03/04/14

jonbardOn Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 Emma interviewed Jon Bard of the Children’s Book Insider (CBI) and writeforkids.org.  We will be talking specifically about the new writeforkids.org site – with a mission to “write for kids, change the world” – and what it means to be a 21st century author. How will new technology impact children’s literature and how can we utilize these advances in our storytelling in new and exciting ways?

Since its inception in 1990, Children’s Book Insider has helped thousands of people start and build successful careers writing for children. Jon is the former owner of a New York PR firm and runs Children’s Book Insider with his wife, children’s author/editor Laura Backes.

Writeforkids.org is the new site presented by CBI with a host of resources and information for children’s book authors, particularly with respect to publishing in the digital age. To find out more, visit http://cbiclubhouse.com, and http://writeforkids.org
